Foolish Demon

Forgive me for my honesty.
I’ve been encircled by travesty.
I simply cannot lie,
Each lie will unsatisfy.

Mixed with false positivity,
I forget there is gravity.
Pulled down harder than most,
Skin burning to toast -
Some words tell & cool,
Other words make me feel like the fool.

Who was I to share?
Who was I to care?

I was always a demon of the isle…
Far ahead beyond a million miles…
Far ahead and deep under…
I’ll mark my stone & slip into a slumber.

I am the demon of insanity.
The one who wanted to save humanity.
