What is it about a great man’s fall… Which we eagerly wait for? A descent into madness to appal, Which we encore. Tears of the brave, Who lose heart and waver. Blood that boiled as it slaved For those who plead for a saviour. Are we just beasts? Untamed and forever starved. Can we not shed a tear at least, For those heroes who have halved. A silent pain as we empathise, Will it not suffice? All they need is a pillar of any size. Something to embrace as they sacrifice. Poem By Sanjeev 'Cimeries' Retnasingam
